Last Sunday, I was on the computer and the tv was tuned to ABS-CBN when my mom suddenly asked, "Katulong ba yan???"
Looking to where her mouth was pointing, it was Pinoy Big Brother Season 2.
Bedazzled by the query, "Ang alin, Ma?"
"Yan, ano bang palabas yan? Katulong ba talaga sila?"
Still not undestanding what she meant, "Ha? Anong katulong? Sino?"
"Yan, ano ba yan?", she repeated.
"PBB, Ma... Some reality show..."
"Katulong ba yang mga yan? I mean, househelp...", pointing to the four secret housemates. And with sincere concern on her voice, she yet asked again, "Katulong ba talaga sila? Parang hindi naman sila mukhang maids..."
More puzzled than when we started and with utmost confusion marked on my face, "Anong katulong, Ma?!?!? Sino? I don't understand. Sino'ng katulong???"
"Yan... yan... sila... kasi di ba tawag sa kanila houseMAIDS???"
Anak ng teteng! I guffawed in laughter and retorted, "Ma, houseMATES, hindi houseMAIDS!"
After that we were both in tears from laughter! "Ah kala ko housemaids kaya ako nagtataka kasi mga inglisero naman yung iba!"
Pang Wow Mali yung eksena na yun! Ang nanay ko talaga, how cute! Hahaha!Ü
