Katulong Ba Sila?
Last Sunday, I was on the computer and the tv was tuned to ABS-CBN when my mom suddenly asked, "Katulong ba yan???"
Looking to where her mouth was pointing, it was Pinoy Big Brother Season 2.
Bedazzled by the query, "Ang alin, Ma?"
"Yan, ano bang palabas yan? Katulong ba talaga sila?"
Still not undestanding what she meant, "Ha? Anong katulong? Sino?"
"Yan, ano ba yan?", she repeated.
"PBB, Ma... Some reality show..."
"Katulong ba yang mga yan? I mean, househelp...", pointing to the four secret housemates. And with sincere concern on her voice, she yet asked again, "Katulong ba talaga sila? Parang hindi naman sila mukhang maids..."
More puzzled than when we started and with utmost confusion marked on my face, "Anong katulong, Ma?!?!? Sino? I don't understand. Sino'ng katulong???"
"Yan... yan... sila... kasi di ba tawag sa kanila houseMAIDS???"
Anak ng teteng! I guffawed in laughter and retorted, "Ma, houseMATES, hindi houseMAIDS!"
After that we were both in tears from laughter! "Ah kala ko housemaids kaya ako nagtataka kasi mga inglisero naman yung iba!"

Baaaad Dream
Thursday last week, Kuya Ron texted that he would come to our Sunday Mass. Yey! Sana nga dumating talaga sya! Wish!
Thinking that he sent that as a group message, I didn't tell my choirmates about it. Wouldn't want to keep their hopes up either and just disappoint them if he wouldn't show up at all.
Then last Sunday, during my siesta, I had a really bad dream. It was a sunny afternoon, we have mass service. It was only Jinna, Chie, DJ, Allan and I who were there. Kuya Ron, as he texted me, came too. Our singing was absolutely awful! Kuya Ron was getting madder and angrier by the minute and was banging on the keyboard na! After the mass, we were all feeling sooo down. Kuya Ron went outside and sat on a bench. Kuya Reimond, who was with him pala, approached him and asked what was wrong and said that it will all be ok. Kuya Ron replied, "Sabagay, ok lang, wala na naman na akong pakialam sa kanila..." Hearing that, enraged and tears filling my eyes, I pointed at Kuya Ron and shouted at him, "Alam mo kung baket walang members?!?!?! Dahil sa yo!!! Dahil wala ka!!!" We were fighting and shouting at each other. I was accusing him of being pabaya and not keeping his word. He was defending himself and putting all the blame on the choir. Many people were looking on... despite the heat of the aftenoon, they, shocked, stopped dead in their tracks and looked on... Then it all stopped... I was awake... I was really crying pala... My cheeks were soaked with tears... I just looked up to the ceiling, still in disbelief, still crying... the only thing that entered my mind that time was buti na lang panaginip lang yun...
During the rehearsal, I can't help but share my bad dream with my choirmates. Teary-eyed pa rin ako pag kinikwento ko. Grabeh...
I sang the Responsorial Psalm that night and when I came back to my seat, Kuya Ron was there! He was there! I'm soooo glad he's there! But people, remembering my dream, kept on saying o, yung panaginip mo... but I know it wasn't true... It wouldn't come true... I hope...
During Communion, we sang How Lovely Is your Dwelling Place. Ghem said that Kuya Ron will sing, as he usually does, the coda of the song. So when Kuya Ron started playing the clavinova, I confirmed with him na sya nga kakanta nung huli and he nodded. His turn to sing the coda came, he was only able to sing two phrases, and was stopped by tears... aaaawwwwwww... pati tuloy ako naiiyak na...
I cried when we were singing the final hymn... Mike was stroking my back... I was able to sing pa naman... mukha nga lang tanga kasi umiiyak din at the same time...
I hugged Kuya Ron after that and shared with him my baaaad dream. He was in tears too... sabi nya "Mare, hindi ko magagawa sa inyo yun..." Hearing that was all I need at umiyak ulit ako!
After that crying session, we took pictures to remember that night, that crazy but wonderfully blessed night.

VIP Treatment
Last Saturday, 11March2007, after the FCM Mass, Khina jokingly invited us to their place. They have handa daw because of an induction event in their sitio. Hello, kami pa! Di kami tumatanggi sa ganyan, kahit biro dapat totohanin! She even added na nahihiya daw Mom nya kasi there's not much food prepared... sabi ko hindi ba dapat kami yung mahiya dahil pupunta na lang kaming bigla? Oh well... weird! Haha!

On 23 & 24February2007, Stage FX had the annual FX Night. Being not a part of the school anymore, I wasn't permitted to spend overnight. Looking forward pa naman ako to walang tulugan and forever picturan! Oh well, that's life. At least I was permitted to attend the next day!Ü Yeeeeey!Ü

I set up the camera on stage, put it on self-timer, had to literally jump off the stage, climb and step my way up the folding chair rows just to get to where I am in this shot! Raaaar!

Last 12February2006, after primetime bida (that was about 1230am), we went to UP Fair's opening night, aptly named...
Not sure who's on stage this time, but looking at the ticket, you'll see the maaaaany bands lined up to play...
Here we are, madaling araw on a school/working day still on the Sunken Garden rocking on!
I was with Jinna, Allan, Nath and Boo.
Hahaha! This was uberly-fun! Lalo na when Parokya Ni Edgar and Kamikazee performed together, yep, you read it right, together. They too aptly named their band fusion Parokya Ni Kazee... This was cleverly and creatively thought of! (or not!) How ingenious! 'Lul, sabaw! Hahaha!
We left UP at 330am and we were off to Dangwa to buy Boo's flower arrangement. I was dropped off at my house 630am na! Hay tulog ever! Goodnight! Zzzzzzzz!

Di ko pinapatulan 'to.. ever... never... just today! Actually maraming rides na sinakyan today na never have I imagined I'll ride 'em talaga! Ffffft! Oh well... Hahaha!

We hear loud beating of drums... Hawaiian music... distant animalistic cries and hoots... Chos! Walang ganun, kunyari lang, setting the mood ba.. Coz he we are now at Jungle Outpost!
Me, Jinna and Ghem now aboard a log in Jungle Log Jam.
Unknown to Jinna, Ghem and I were scheming something evil! We did to Jinna what Wesley and Aren did to me when FX people went here last year! Ghem and I let Jinna sit at the middle... actually we convinced (more like brainwashed) her that that was the best position in the log... hahaha! Our plan? Get Jinna totally washed and wet! I held Jinna's arms at her back while Ghem was pouring handfuls of water at her! Talented ang biktima, nakakaganti pa! She was swishing and flinging her left hand (coz that was free from my grip), and wetting Ghem too! Di ako ligtas sa pagkabasa noh! Ghem was almost pouring buckets of water! Ganyan ba kalaki kamay mo? Parang andaming tubig na kaya i-hold! Hahaha! At dahil madaming tubig at hindi naman malaki si Jinna to block all water, basa din ako! Hahaha! This was such a riot! Guys queuing were hooting and cheering! Hahaha! Allan and Nath tried to pull off the same but was forbidden by the attendant. Good thing di kame napagsabihan tulad nila! Bleeeh! Hahaha!
Before and after the ride, we took pictures with Kuya Ron's replicas... magkakasinlaki sila ng ilong! Hahaha!
Lookie, Jinna and I changed clothes na! We were super wet kasi!
While passing time, we had merienda at the food tent... some band was playing... we were at the immediate right (stage-right! haha!) of the stage... while they were playing Pus the Boton (quoting ate Fe here Ü), lookie!
Ang gwapo di ba?!?!?! Haaaay be still my heart! I put na an indicator kasi baka mamaya yung katabi yung isipin nyo! Yaaaak! Hahaha!

4. USB (thumb) drive! You can now get the file of your photos for P100. Steep but still cheaper than their usual print prices. Plus you can photoshop the pic pa!

After dinner, the Polynesian Dancers were replaced by Quetzalcoatl people... the tattoo-clad cannibal-looking performers... Wala pala akong pic nun dito! Hahaha! Next!
Brooklyn Dancers! Si Mama Winnie yun oh!!! Hahaha, oo nga! There was a dancer in this group na suuuuper kamukha ni Mama Winnie! Hahaha!

Oh well, we enjoyed the ride naman kahit na hindi namin maintindihan yung direction nung wheel... aandar, aandar pabaligtad, aakyat, bababa... May topak yata yung operator! Hahaha!
They went back to Space Shuttle... I didn't join them kasi my stomach was feeling hollow baka di ko makayanan... or some other lame excuse... wehehe...
EK to close in 15 minutes, we sprinted to Rio Grande Rapids!

We were all wet but not as wet as Vincent! Sya lang talaga ang nakasama ko na ganyan kabasa sa first ride ng Rio! Not so much halata in the pic coz he's in dark apparel. Second round! Ay, closed na daw! Aaaaawwwwwwww!!!!

Things to bring when you go to EK:
1. Camera! You'll die of panghihinayang and inggit without it!
2. Extra clothes AND undies! You wouldn't want to look KJ and silly donning a raincoat in Rio or Jungle Log or walking around soaked and wet.
3. Waterproof bag! Need not explain.
4. USB (thumb) drive! You can now get the file of your photos for P100. Steep but still cheaper than their usual print prices. Plus you can photoshop the pic pa!
